Crafty Refurbished Lap Boards

These are lap boards that my husband and I aquired in 3 year old preschool.  We both saved them from when we were in the same preschool class so many years ago. (A long time ago!!! Hehehe!) I found them in a closet not too long ago decided that I needed to redo them for our two kids.  So I decided to actually get them out and do them.  Here is the before picture.  As you can see they have been very well used in the last 30 plus years.

Next I took paint from each of  their rooms to paint the background color.  I painted Adison's pink and Carson's blue.  After that I chose a design and painted their name and design on the boards.  Now they each have their own lap board that will last another 30 plus years.

After I was done painting the boards, I put two coats of laquer on them to protect them and make them easy to clean up.  The kids loved them!
